EXPERIENCE

Liz Turner is a Fine Art mould maker with a sculpture workshop based in Shropshire.

She has an MA degree in sculpture and has 28 years experience in making moulds for a wide range of companies and individual sculptors. Her clients include bronze foundries such as Bronze Age and Morris Singer, Bulbeck lead foundry, heritage restoration company Cliveden Conservation and ceramic sculptors Coade Ltd.

Liz’s work is characterised by her thoughtful and efficient approach, great care and an extremely high level of attention to detail.

She is experienced in making strong, durable moulds of very large scale or small intricate sculptures and enjoys working with artists to help realise their projects.

Liz studied BA Fine Art at Newcastle University and has an MA degree in Sculpture from Wimbledon School of Art.

She learned the craft of mould making and casting at Bronze Age Foundry in London where she worked for 10 years as Manager of the moulding department.

Since leaving London in 2005 she has run her own moulding business and has also collaborated on a range of public art projects with sculptor Keith Ashford.

Liz has run adult education courses in mould making and sculpture and has a City and Guilds Cert in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning sector.
